We need a TREATY !!!
Global warming can be slowed down by reducing the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Rainforests are the biggest absorbers of carbon dioxide that we have control over, so we MUST preserve them. But preventing deforestation is not getting the attention it deserves. That is why we are urging the UN to create a Deforestation Treaty that legally binds countries to STOP deforestation.
TREK FOR A TREATY
We will cycle from the Amazon river to Belém in Brazil, collecting the real-life stories of people connected to the forest. A summary of their experiences will be presented to the delegates at the 2025 COP30 climate conference in Belém, strengthening the initiative for a Deforestation Treaty.

Endorse the campaign
Endorse the campaign to create an international treaty to end deforestation. Promises, commitments, pledges and other weak statements have had little impact. It is time for a binding treaty that has legal repurcussions.
